2015 Winter Gala

Join us for a special occasion where in addition to Hamilton's finest buffet dinner, there will be live music, a silent auction, presentations, and plenty of friends to socialize with including Mr. & Mrs. Abraham Lincoln.

 

 

Details are still being worked out for the 2015 Gala, but below is what we did in 2014.

 

 

Music will be provided by "Lincoln's Own"  10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Regiment Band Ensemble.

5:00 pm to 8:45 pm  Silent Auction Viewing and Bidding in the Blue Room
 

5:00 pm to 6:30 pm  Cocktail & Social Hour  w/Open Cash Bar

 

6:30 pm   10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Regiment will Post the Colors and escort President and Mrs. Lincoln

 

Star Spangled Banner performed by Dawn Henry

 

6:40 pm   President Lincoln

 

6:50 pm   Recognition of Sponsors & Committee Members by David Kuhn

7:00 pm to 7:45 pm   Dinner

7:45 pm    Jim Carlton speaks about Honor Flight

 

 

8:00 pm    Veterans Remembered presentation by Erik Hack

 

8:15 pm - 9:15 pm   Music provided by "Lincoln's Own" 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Regiment Band Ensemble"

Feel free to get up and dance, you do not need to be in period attire to enjoy a twirl around the dance floor.

A dance mistress will not be present to call specific dances.

9:15 pm    Silent Auction Winners will be Announced

​Tickets for the Annual Winter Gala may be purchased through the Grierson Society or at the Journal Courier,
Farmers State Bank,  Jacksonville Savings Bank, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, & Jacksonville Convention and Visitors Bureau


All proceeds will benefit the restoration for General Benjamin H. Grierson Monument at East Cemetery

and General Grierson Days Civil War Reenactment
